Notes & sources
- US general imports, monthly, not seasonally adjusted: customs value (GEN_VAL_MO) and first unit of quantity (GEN_QY1_MO) by HTS line and country of origin.
- A zero month means no entries were reported for that line that month. Percent changes from a zero base are shown as n/a. Census revises recent months, and does an annual revision each June, so earlier figures can change from one edition to the next.
- HS 9306 also covers military munitions, guided-missile parts and tool cartridges. The ammunition series above use the small-arms cartridge lines only.
- Country rows exclude aggregate groupings (EU, OECD, USMCA and so on).
- Source: U.S. Census Bureau, International Trade API, imports by HS (api.census.gov/data/timeseries/intltrade/imports/hs). Line definitions: Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States.
